It has not occurred to us better way to inaugurate the new format of this 2019 edition than to prepare this small program of tourist experiences as a warm welcome, hoping that you can take the opportunity to discover more closely one of the most beautiful corners of the #TerritorioEurafrica.
Near the border between the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz is Ronda, “the dreamed city”, a place of forced passage for all romantic travelers who toured the paths of Andalusia during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, birthplace of bullfighting and one of the holy places of Andalusian “banditry”. Romans, Muslims and Castilians have left an indelible heritage mark in what is one of the most visited and known spots in Andalusia.
Surrounded by landscapes of great beauty, including the Protected Natural Areas of the “Sierra de Grazalema” Natural Park and the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park, Ronda is a perfect base for discovering some of the natural treasures hidden in these lands.
The Sierra de Grazalema, a paradise of limestone and water inhabited by Andalusian fir trees (Abies Pinsapo), unique trees in the world that can only be found in these latitudes, also hides a large part of the Muslim legacy retained in the Andalusian mountains, represented by a good number of small white villages spread throughout these mountains and among which we find Grazalema, from the Arabic “Raas el Maa” (where the water is born).
We propose you then, to begin this “eurafrican voyage”, in the best possible way that occurs to us, enjoying the land and its people, tasting the local gastronomy, contemplating its landscapes, everything, to “slow fire” and in the best of the companies, that of contrasted professionals and great connoisseurs of the territory and its customs, an initiatory trip, in short, to the soul of what is #eurafrica, an enormous heart divided between two shores….
