EurafricaTrail

Carbon footprint and Climate change

Those of us who organize Eurafrica, like everyone else, are deeply concerned about the effects and consequences of global warming on our planet. We’re increasingly seeing how mountain sports are being impacted by this phenomenon, particularly in terms of safety.

More specifically, in trail running, there have already been cases where races had to be canceled due to high wildfire risk or sudden, extreme weather changes

We must recognize that our sport has an environmental impact, and we can no longer ignore this reality. That’s why we encourage you to calculate your carbon footprint and reflect on it by accessing the following link.

Download the Sport Go Green mobile app on the Apple Store or Google Play.

The app has been developed by the Spanish Olympic Committee and offers users a simple and user-friendly format. The calculator is available in three versions:
a) a mobile app for individuals attending sporting events (athletes, journalists, staff, spectators, support teams, etc.),
b) a desktop version for sports organizations, and
c) a desktop version for event organizers.

The calculator is available in four languages (Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese) and can be used worldwide for any type of organization or event, regardless of size.
